Sankata Hara Chathurthi signifies the worship of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles, difficulties, and fears from life.

THAI POOSAM PUJA:
Thai Poosam will be observed with Navakalasa Puja, Homam, and 108 Paal Kudam for Lord Subramanyar, followed by a special evening Harathi. This sacred day honors Lord Murugan receiving the divine Vel to conquer darkness. Devotees may sponsor puja and Paal Kudam through the temple office.
Cultural Evening
Sabthavi Baskaran, trained by Smt. Vidya and Smt. Syamala Venkateshwaran, is a dedicated Carnatic musician and founder of Sabthavidyalam in Ottawa, mentoring 35 students and practicing Bharatanatyam. She is accompanied by mridangist Ravi Kiran, an accomplished percussionist performing since age six, known for supporting senior artists in Namasankeerthanam,and Sayohn Ahilan a well known violinist.,.

Mandala Puja & Cultural Evening
Tejas and Kanchana present a heartfelt Carnatic music offering at the Siva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa, rendered in devotion to Lord Srinivasa. Tejas continues his musical journey under the guidance of his guru, Shri Sankar Vinayak, whose teachings inspire his practice. Kanchana, who grew up surrounded by music, brings her natural love for singing to this sacred offering.

The violin sister duo Archana and Aradhana present a devotional Carnatic offering at the Shiva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa in honor of the sacred Mandala Pooja. They are accompanied by Kajanan Shanmugarajah on mridangam and Saswath Yeshwanth on ghatam, adding traditional rhythmic depth to this ceremonial presentation.

Makara Jyothi marks the divine appearance of Lord Ayyappa, symbolizing light, dharma, and spiritual awakening. Observing this sacred occasion with bhajans and collective chanting helps purify the mind, remove obstacles, and invoke divine grace.

Thai Pongal and Makara Sankranti celebrate the Sun’s northward journey and the harvest season, honoring nature, farmers, and Surya with rituals, offerings, and gratitude-filled traditions.

Kalagriha School of Performing Arts (@stutiim) students presenting a Guru shloka(choreographed by Stuti Mukherjee), Tisra Ekam Alarippu(traditional choreography), and Tulasidasa Bhajan, “Shrirama Chandra Kripalu”(choreographed by Stuti Mukherjee) in Kalakshetra style by Aparna Sobha Ravidas, Aswathi Sreejith, and Nivethini Manoharan.
Next, Smt. Stuti Mukherjee, founder and Artistic Director of Kalagriha, will present a solo Kuchipudi performance in the traditional choreography of Padmabhushan Guru Dr. Vempati Chinnasatyam, taught by Guru Shri. Kasi Aysola. Her performance includes Poorvarangam (invocation to Lord Shiva), Narayaneeyam, Krishna Sabdam, and Hindolam Thillana.
KOODARAVALLI CELEBRATIONS
Koodaravalli marks the completion of Sri Andal’s Tiruppavai, representing the devotee’s ultimate surrender and prayer for divine grace. Participating in this celebration during Dhanur Maasam is believed to bestow prosperity, harmony in family life, and spiritual upliftment.
