Mandala Puja and Cultural Evening
Kalagriha School of Performing Arts (@stutiim) students presenting a Guru shloka(choreographed by Stuti Mukherjee), Tisra Ekam Alarippu(traditional choreography), and Tulasidasa Bhajan, “Shrirama Chandra Kripalu”(choreographed by Stuti Mukherjee) in Kalakshetra style by Aparna Sobha Ravidas, Aswathi Sreejith, and Nivethini Manoharan.
Next, Smt. Stuti Mukherjee, founder and Artistic Director of Kalagriha, will present a solo Kuchipudi performance in the traditional choreography of Padmabhushan Guru Dr. Vempati Chinnasatyam, taught by Guru Shri. Kasi Aysola. Her performance includes Poorvarangam (invocation to Lord Shiva), Narayaneeyam, Krishna Sabdam, and Hindolam Thillana.
Angaraki Sankatahara Chaturthi
Sankatahara (Sankatara) Chaturthi, A sacred day dedicated to Raja Ganapathy ,the remover of obstacles. This Chaturthi falls on a Tuesday, making it Angaraki Sankatahara Chaturthi, which is regarded as the most powerful form of this vrat.
Mandala Puja & Cultural Evening
Vidushi Dr. Yogashree Bharath, a Vidwat‑certified Carnatic musician trained by renowned gurus including Smt. Vishaka Hari, has performed across India, the USA, and Canada. In Thirukadavurum Thirupathiyum, she presents a Harikatha on Amritaghateshwarar and Srinivasar, weaving music with kshetra mahatmyam from Thirukadavur and Tirupathi.

New Year 2026 Celebrations
New Year 2026 Celebrations at Siva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa Join us on Thursday, January 1, 2026, for a day of spiritual renewal. The temple opens at 6:30 AM, followed by a series of sacred rituals from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, including Homam, Nava Kalasa Puja, and Rudra Abhishegam, culminating in the Maha Deeparadhanai at 9:30 AM. Vaikunda Ekadesi
The Siva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa invites you to celebrate Vaikunda Ekadesi on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Known as the “King of all Ekadesis,” this sacred day offers the immense spiritual power to grant liberation (Moksha). The program begins early with Suprabhata Seva at 4:30 AM, followed by Homam and Abhishegam. Kathak Performance
Join us on Sunday evening, December 21, 2025, for a special performance by Smt. Himani Agarwal and Divine Rhythm Creative Arts. This program celebrates the grace and storytelling of Kathak through a sacred shloka from the Shiva Mahimna Stotra and a rhythmic "Krishna Nartan" piece featuring dancers Ambili Muralidharan, Ritu Tandon, and Arshamani. The evening will also include a 10-minute devotional Bhajan performance of Ganesh Stuti and Saraswati Vandana by a talented group of young vocalists. Maha Kumbabhishegam - Temple Visiting
Join us for the profound Maha Kumbabhishekam celebrations at the Siva Vishnu Temple on Dec 14, 2025! Due to space limitations and safety requirements, Sarvadarshana on the main Kumbabhishekam day will be offered in scheduled 2-hour batches between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Poorvangam Day 3 - Evening
Join us on Friday, December 12th (6:00 PM – 8:30 PM) for two foundational ceremonies: Kumbha Alangaram and Yaga Saalai Prathishtai. The Kumbha Alangaram involves the elaborate ceremonial decoration of the Kalasha (sacred pot), which symbolically represents the deity's body, incorporating elements like banana leaves, sacred grains, and precious gems; witnessing this ritual brings high position and divine favor. Immediately following, the Yaga Saalai Prathishtai prepares the requirements for the Yagnas, including the sacred fire pit and dedicated altars for the 108 Companion Gods, blessing participants with a disciplined life and career advancement.
Poorvangam Day 3 - Morning
Join us on Friday, December 12th (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM) for the powerful Lakshmi Sudharshana Homam, performed for universal welfare, prosperity, and protection. This important ritual seeks the divine grace of Lord Sudarshanar to remove obstacles and negative influences, bestowing abundance, peace, and material prosperity upon all participants. Contributions support the temple's year-round spiritual activities. You may register for Sankalpam & Participation directly at the temple for $150 per family, and all registered participants will receive prasadam and Homa Rakshai (divine ash).
Poorvangam Day 2 - Evening
Join us on Thursday, December 11th (5:00 PM – 8:30 PM) for critical evening rituals culminating in the spiritual awakening of the Deities. The ceremonies include Theertha Sangrahanam to sanctify the temple with holy waters and Mruth Sangrahanam, where sacred earth is collected to invoke the blessings of Bhooma Devi (fertility). The evening climaxes with the highly auspicious Nayana Unmeelanam—the rare Opening of the Eyes ceremony—symbolizing the activation of divine consciousness within the idols, followed by the Sayanaathi Vasam ritual where divine energy (Śakti) is invoked, formally preparing the temple for the grand Kumbabhishekam.

Join us on Thursday, December 11th (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) for the essential Poorvangam ceremonies focused on purification and sanctification. The schedule includes Thishaa Homam for directional protection, Rakshognam to cleanse the temple site of any construction-related harm, and Murthy Homam to transform the idol into a living embodiment (Sanithyam). These rituals, including Santhi Homam and Agni Sangrahanam (kindling of the sacred fire), are vital steps that ensure peace, purity, and prosperity for the temple and all who visit.

Shri Ganesan has been giving discourses for nearly two decades now with the theme “Valmikiyum Tyagarajarum" (Valmiki and Tyagaraja). His discourses are a veritable treat of erudition and devotion, providing an in depth study of the sahitya, the ragas, the talas and even the sangatis of Tyagabrahmam’s kritis, and correlating them with the shlokas and episodes of Valmiki Ramayana.
We invite our devotees to the Part 2 of a session of refined erudition and elating music. The discourse will be given by Shri Ganesan; the kritis will be sung by Shri Ganesh; accompaniments by Shri Aditya Seshan (mrdangam).

Sri Sudharshana Narasimha Homam
Siva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa will host the divine "Sri Sudharshana Narasimha Homam" for the first time in Ottawa. This event will serve as an auspicious beginning for Siva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa. The Homam will be ceremoniously performed by the Chief Priests, the esteemed Pradhana Archakulu of the revered Yadadri temple, and will be conducted under the supervision of Yadadri Temple authorities.
