Soma Pradhosham – 16 Mar 2026

This month Pradhosham falls on a Monday (Soma Varam), which is considered especially auspicious. As Monday is a day dear to Siva and worship during the Pradhosham period (around sunset) is believed to bring His special blessings.

All are welcome to join the Soma Pradhosham and perform Soma Pradakshina by circumambulating Siva and Nandhi in a sacred manner.

This special pradakshina during Pradosham is believed to remove past karmas and bring the divine blessings of Lord Amirthakadeswarar.

Prathosham is an auspicious time dedicated to the worship of Lord Siva. Observing Prathosham is believed to help remove sins and negative karma, bring good health and longevity, relieve obstacles and hardships, promote family harmony, and grant peace of mind and spiritual growth. Sincere prayers offered during this sacred time are said to fulfill righteous wishes and attract Lord Siva’s divine grace.

Devotees can participate in the prayers, Abhishekam, and chanting to receive the Lord’s blessings.
