As part of the JAN 24 Cultural Event, Dr. Rashmi Venkateswaran, Amaresh, and Sayohn Ahilan present a heartfelt Carnatic music offering, rendered with devotion and reverence.
Dr. Rashmi Venkateswaran is a senior Carnatic vocalist whose musical journey spans decades of rigorous training under legendary gurus including Sri T. V. Gopalakrishnan, Sri Krishnankutty Bhagavathar, Sri D. K. Jayaraman, Sri T. K. Govinda Rao, Sri T. R. Subramanyam, and Smt. D. K. Pattammal. Her music reflects classical depth, clarity, and a profound sense of bhakti.
Amaresh, trained in mridangam under Sri B. Sivaraman, carries the rhythmic lineage of the great Sri T. K. Murthy. His playing is marked by precision, tradition, and a deep respect for the art form.
Sayohn Ahilan, a violinist trained by Smt. Vijayalakshmi Ganesan, Dr. Anjana Srinivasan, and Shri Madurai Vijayaganesh, brings melodic finesse shaped by guidance from renowned violinists such as Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi, Lalgudi Krishnan, and Shri VVS Murari. His music reflects both strong foundational training and heartfelt devotion.
Together, these artists offer a sacred musical presentation, uniting experience, tradition, and devotion in a collective act of gratitude to the Divine.
