Significance:
On the sacred full moon day of Chitra Pournami, worship of Abirami Ambal holds special importance. It is believed that Ambal blessed Lord Chitragupta, the divine recorder of human deeds, granting him the wisdom and authority to guide beings on the path of righteousness.
In the same way, devotees who offer sincere prayers to Abirami Ambal on this day are blessed with Dharma (righteous living), Artha (prosperity), Kama (fulfillment of rightful desires), and Moksha (spiritual liberation), along with all forms of Sowbhagya (auspiciousness and well-being).
This day is also dedicated to Lord Chitragupta, and by worshipping him, devotees seek forgiveness for past actions and pray for a life guided by dharma and virtue.
Devotee Participation:
Devotees are welcome to bring their own lamp / Deepam (Vilakku) from home for the puja. All other items will be provided by the temple.
Registration:
Open at the temple office (in person) or via WhatsApp at 613-316-6245
