The Siva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa warmly invites all devotees and their families to participate in the auspicious Annaabhishegam celebrations for Lord Amritagateshwarar.

Annaabhishegam is a sacred ritual performed during the Tamil month of Aippasi, when Lord Siva is adorned with cooked rice as an offering of gratitude to the Divine, who nourishes and sustains all living beings.

According to Hindu tradition, every grain of rice offered during Annaabhishegam represents a Siva Lingam. It is believed that witnessing this divine darshan bestows the spiritual merit of worshipping Anantha Koti Lingams — countless Siva Lingams.

Devotees are invited to take part in this sacred occasion, offer their prayers and receive the divine blessings of Lord Amritagateshwarar.

Special Highlight: The Annalingam Procession features a Siva Lingam prepared from the sacred rice offered to Lord Amritagateshwarar.

Anna Prasadam Distribution – From 7:45 PM

The sacred rice offered to Swami during Annaabhishegam will be served with Sambar to all devotees following the removal of the Anna Alankaram.
