Significance

Vaikunda Ekadesi is revered as the “King of all Ekadesis”, known for its immense spiritual power to grant Moksha (liberation).

On this sacred day, the Paramapada Vaasal (Swarga Vasal)—a special northern entrance—will be ceremonially opened.

Passing through this gate with Lord Vishnu symbolizes the soul’s journey from the darkness of ego to the light of divine grace and entry into Vaikunta.

Fasting on Vaikunda Ekadesi is believed to be equivalent to observing all 23 Ekadesis of the year.
