The Siva Vishnu Temple of Ottawa is delighted to host the Karthiga Maasa Ayyappa Pooja for the first time in Canada's Capital City, Ottawa. This auspicious and sacred occasion will bring together devotees for prayers, bhajans, and community fellowship, with all event activities and dinner offered free of charge to participants.

Description: This inaugural Ayyappa Pooja will be a significant event for the community, providing a unique opportunity for collective devotion and celebration for Lord Ayyappa. The event aims to foster spiritual engagement and community cohesion, reflecting the temple's commitment to advancing religious practices and serving the spiritual needs of the local Hindu community. Free venue parking will be available, enhancing accessibility for attendees.
The event schedule will include:
3:45 PM - 4:00 PM: Registration and a warm welcome will be extended to arriving devotees.
4:00 PM - 4:15 PM: The ceremony will commence with Ganapathi Pooja.
4:15 PM - 4:45 PM: Ayyappa Pooja - Avahanam will be performed.
4:45 PM - 5:30 PM: Ayyappa Pooja - Abhishegam & Bhajan will take place, allowing for active participation and communal singing.
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM: The central Ayyappa Pooja - Padi Pooja & Harathi will be conducted, which is a key ritual associated with Ayyappa worship.
6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Temple announcements will be made, and a thank you note will be extended to all participants and supporters.
7:00 PM - 7:30 PM PM: A complimentary dinner will be served to all attendees, fostering a sense of community and shared spiritual experience.
While the event will be free to attend, devotees will have the opportunity to offer generous sponsorship for specific 'Sevas' (services) performed during the event, such as Padi Pooja, Flowers Archana, Anna Dhanam (food donation), and Ghee Abhishegam, allowing for further participation in the spiritual offerings and supporting the temple's initiatives.
This event will directly support the advancement of religion by organizing a significant communal worship ceremony, promoting traditional Hindu practices, and fostering spiritual devotion within the community.
